Arctic Lines Episode 12: The Hat Couloir - Instant Classic

Our previous mission was a challenge. A month has passed since our last trip. It’s time to get back to Norway for a new adventure with hopes to complete a line that could just become an instant classic.

Enjoy!

The Hat Couloir

The Hat Couloir has potential to become an instant classic. It’s surrounded by huge rock walls and looks very aesthetically pleasing. The line is located in Hatteng, a rugged mountain area in interior Tromso, just an hour from the northwest border of Finland. It’s not an area known for its snow. In fact, Hatteng gets substantially less precipitation than its more famous neighbour, Lyngen.

This area is also less explored and due to local freeriders requests there is no map and directions shared for this line here.
Instead you can learn how to search and find your adventures by checking this digital navigation tutorial video made in collaboration with FATMAP & SUUNTO
